Front entrance to Living Well Therapy

Living Well Therapy offers services from physical, occupational, speech and massage therapists, all in one clinic.  Our therapists will partner with you to ensure you receive appropriate care from the correct therapist who will provide the quickest and most complete recovery.

We are committed to clear, thorough communication to ensure that we understand your concerns.  We work with your physician and other healthcare providers to ensure they have input into your care and receive information about your progress.

Our staff is experienced in working with a wide variety of injuries, post-surgical conditions, and medical diagnosis.  We will provide you with education about your condition to give you the tools to take charge of your recovery.  If you are dealing with an injury that is keeping you from work or your favorite activities, are recovering from a surgery or sports injury, or have aches and pain from a car accident, our goal is to help you return to a condition of well-being.  If your goal is full function and wellness we can assist you.

Patrick Oltmanns
M.A., P.T., clinic owner
Patrick Oltmanns has been practicing physical therapy for 17 years.  His experience includes receiving a masters degree from the college of St. Scholastica with an emphasis in treating patients who are suffering from back and neck injuries or pain.  Patrick began his career helping people with a wide variety of aches, pains and injuries and he specialized in helping people who have back or neck pain.

Patrick has spent the past 10 years working primarily with older adults recover from joint replacements surgeries, fall prevention and recovery from falls, general strengthening and wellness programs, maximizing balance and mobility, working in people’s homes helping them remain safe, independent and living in their own homes to avoid the need for skilled nursing home placement.

Patrick is excited to focus his expertise and knowledge to offer the people of the Duluth area an interdisciplinary therapy approach to living active, healthy pain free lives.   His goal is to assist people in be safe and independent in their homes, to be active and pain free.

Jessica Kalkbrenner
Occupational Therapist

Jessica Kalkbrenner received her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the College of St. Scholastica in 1999. She began her career working with people recovering from spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders and later focused on arm and hand injuries. Jessica has spent the past 5 years working in the home care setting helping people achieve their highest level of independence allowing them to safely remain in their home or assisted living as an alternative to moving to a nursing home or higher care environment.

Jessica is excited to be able to draw on her extensive clinical experience and offer Occupational Therapy care to people dealing with a variety of health care needs. She is passionate about her work and she consistently receives excellent reviews from her patients. At Living Well Therapy Jessica works with people in our outpatient clinic and in our home care department.

Jan Oltmanns
Massage Therapist
Jan is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist.  She has worked for 15 years in the profession as a therapist owning her own business downtown Duluth.  She was also an instructor at Lake Superior College teaching massage in the Allied Health program.  Previous to massage therapy, Jan worked as a Licensed Practical nurse for 25 years. Jan has been well trained in many modalities of the massage field including relaxation, deep tissue, lymph drainage, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, reflexology, raindrop therapy, sports, chair, and pregnancy styles of massage.

Jan’s hours at Living Well Therapy are Tuesday and Thursday each week.

Mary Lee
Office Coordinator
When you call or stop in to the clinic you will be warmly greeted by our office coordinator Mary Lee.She is friendly and happy to help you schedule your appointment, work through your initial visit paperwork or navigate questions with your insurance company.Mary will offer help in any way needed to make your visit easy and stress free so you can focus on being well.

Her background includes being a certified nurse’s aide and working as an EMT.  Mary is a wife and mother of four sons. She is well-know is the local community as an accomplished saxophonist and clarinetist.
