Mayo Clinic COVID-19 Study

A RECENT STUDY FROM THE MAYO CLINIC INDICATES THAT YOU CAN REDUCE YOUR LIKELIHOOD OF HOSPITALIZATION DUE TO COVID BY BEING STRONG AND CARDIVASCULARLY FIT.

(WEARING A MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING MAY HELP AS WELL )

Recently researches at the Mayo Clinic studied people who had undergone a cardiovascular stress test prior to the COVID pandemic.  They looked for trends as to who amongst these people ended up being hospitalized once the pandemic started. They studied 246 people with an average age of 59 years old. Researchers found a direct relationship between lack of fitness and the likelihood of hospitalization after contracting COVID-19. The data further supports the important relationship between cardiorespiratory fitness and other health outcomes.
